巨大前方後円墳と考えられていたが、再調査してみると、前方後円墳ではなく、山に作られた円墳らしいということになった。
しかし、調査機関も結論を出していないようだ。
墳頂には、祠が祀られていた。
There is a mountain trail from the temple at the foot of the mountain.
This temple has a deep connection to the Sanada clan.
There was an ancient tomb at the top of the mountain.
There are about three small shrines at the top. There is nothing reminiscent of an ancient tomb.
